We’ve spent the last three weeks building the foundation. You know your book is an authority blueprint (Week 1). You have a signature keynote ready to deliver (Week 2). And you’ve constructed a client attraction engine to nurture readers (Week 3).
Your house is built.
Now it’s time to open the doors and invite the world in.
This week is about amplification. It’s the active work of getting your message in front of more people so you can fill your calendar with speaking gigs and your coaching program with ideal clients. This phase is not about waiting for opportunities to come to you. It’s about creating them.
Your single greatest tool for creating these opportunities is the book you’ve already written.
Your Book as Your Ultimate PR Asset
Most authors think of PR as getting reviews in major publications. While that’s nice, it’s a low-probability game. A much more effective and direct path to building your expert platform is targeted outreach, and your book is the key that unlocks those doors.
When you pitch a podcast host, a conference organizer, or an association leader, you are not just another coach asking for a spot. You are a published author. That credential instantly elevates you above the noise. It signals that you have a body of work, a refined message, and a level of authority that others lack.
Your book is your proof.
Now it's up to you to make the connection.
The Strategic Outreach Engine
Amplification isn't about spamming hundreds of contacts. It's about a focused, strategic outreach engine built on three pillars: Podcasts, Associations, and Conferences.
Pillar 1: The Podcast Tour
Podcasts are the new networking. They are a direct line to your ideal audience. Your goal is not to get on the biggest shows. It's to get on the right shows—the ones listened to by your ideal clients and decision-makers.
Your Pitch Strategy:
Your pitch is not about you. It's about the host's audience. Frame your signature keynote topic as a solution to their listeners' specific problems.
Subject Line: Pitch: [Your Signature Keynote Topic] for the [Podcast Name] audience
Body: Introduce yourself as a published author and expert on [Your Category of One]. Briefly explain the core transformation you provide and how it will serve their listeners. Include a link to your speaker one-sheet and a link to your book on Amazon.
Pillar 2: Association and Corporate Gigs
Professional associations and corporations have budgets for training and education. They need experts like you to deliver value to their members or employees. These are often paid speaking opportunities.
Your Pitch Strategy:
Find the contact for programming, education, or events. Your pitch is less about inspiration and more about tangible outcomes.
Subject Line: Speaking Inquiry: [Your Signature Keynote Title]
Body: Position your talk as a solution to a common industry challenge. For example, "A keynote on 'From Expert to Authority' designed to help members at the [Association Name] build their personal brand and attract more clients." Attach your speaker one-sheet, which clearly outlines the audience takeaways.
Pillar 3: Conference and Summit Stages
Large conferences often have a formal Call for Speakers (CFP) process a year or more in advance. Your goal is to find these opportunities and apply or get on the waiting list.
Your Pitch Strategy:
Follow their application process to the letter. Your book title and author status should be prominent in your bio. Your session description should mirror the problem/solution framework of your signature keynote.
The System for Staying Consistent
This outreach work can feel like a chore. The key is to treat it like a system, not an event. Block 90 minutes in your calendar every week for outreach. During that time, your only goal is to research and contact 5-10 targeted opportunities.
Keep a simple spreadsheet to track your contacts: Podcast/Association, Contact Person, Date Contacted, Response. This turns a daunting task into a manageable, measurable process.
From Visibility to Impact
This is the final step in the chain.
You take the authority from your book, the clarity from your keynote, the system from your funnel, and you amplify it into the world.
This is how you build a reputation.
This is how you create a steady stream of opportunities.
This is also the work we finalize in Phase 4 of the Monetized Message™ Roadmap Group Coaching Program. We don't just help you build your speaker assets; we help you build your outreach strategy and identify the right stages for your message.
You did the deep work of writing the book. Now it's time to do the brave work of sharing it with the world. The world needs your expertise. Go get the stage.
